• Stage 2: Taiping to Gunung Jerai (145.6 km) – First hilltop summit finish (Category 1 climb).
• Stage 3: Sungai Petani to Kuala Kangsar (189.7 km) – Long transition/sprinters' stage.
• Stage 4: Meru Raya to Cameron Highlands (142.3 km) – Demanding summit finish via Tapah.
• Stage 5: Tapah to Genting Highlands (125.7 km) – The Queen Stage with a Hors Catégorie summit finish.
• Stage 6: Pandan Indah to Rembau (121.3 km) – Hilly/rolling transition stage leaving the mountains.
